03/23/2014
On Thursday, 03/20/2014 - we posted a poll on the site asking our site visitors to vote on a change we were considering making. We also noted that we had already made a change that we knew needed to be made on the map on the Updates Page.
Gary and I have decided we have/had some format changes that needed to be made. We have made one change that we agree needed to be changed already but aren't sure the other is needed or makes sense. We need your input on the changes.
We gave you three options - the third option was "3. Other Suggestion. Tell us what you think works best."
The result of the third option has brought several suggestions. A few of the suggestions made have already been part of how the site is designed to work. That tells me that Gary and I have to figure out a better way to explain the site to folks. Not an easy task on a site the serves 164 different countries and in 2014 alone - 6,665,369 visitors as of 21 Mar 2014 - 0740 hrs.
Puget Sound Gun instructor Rick Walker made a suggestion that we have already implemented.
The only thing I’d like to see is a link from the front page of state info where it gives the date of the last update directly to the end of the file where one can actually see what that update is. It would save us having to scroll through 14 pages or so every time we want to see what has changed.
Any reasonable suggestion you may have to make the site more user friendly will get implemented as soon as we can make it happen. Obviously not all suggestions are going to work for the greatest majority and we will always answer email and let you know why we can't use yours.
